It turns out that North Korea produces drones similar to the Russian Lancets. This became clear when North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited the tests of such kamikaze drones manufactured by the DPRK.
This was reported by the Central Telegraph Agency of Korea (KCNA).
Among the UAVs presented to the leader, designed to defeat ground and surface targets at various distances, turned out to be very similar to the Israeli IAI Harop or the Russian Lancet due to the presence of x-shaped wings in their design.

Kim Jong-un spoke approvingly about the technology shown to him, created at the Drone Research Institute at the National Defense Academy, and said that this area should be developed. He also said that artificial intelligence should be actively introduced into such developments.
During the tests, the drones followed the specified trajectories, identified the targets of the imaginary enemy and successfully hit them. It is noteworthy that among the affected objects was a mock-up of a South Korean K-2 tank.
The leader of the DPRK was satisfied with the tests carried out and said that this equipment should be urgently put into service with the country's army. According to Kim Jong-un, the development and modernization of drones of various types is an important condition for ensuring the defense capability of the state. This is required by military science and the world experience of warfare.
The head of North Korea said that the country's Armed Forces need not only advanced multi-purpose reconnaissance and attack drones, but also kamikaze UAVs for small infantry units.
