One of the winners of the Era Foundation accelerator (part of the PSB Group) in the field of military technologies will launch the first batch of about 1.5 thousand copies of an aircraft-type FPV UAV resistant to enemy electronic warfare (EW). UAVs have already been successfully tested in the area of a special military operation, Veles Logistics LLC told TASS.
On August 14, it was reported that at the Army 2024 forum, the Era Foundation (part of the PSB Group), following the results of the accelerator, which was attended by 900 companies, selected eight developments in the field of military technologies that will receive funding to enter mass production. The winners of the accelerator can receive up to 200 million rubles for the implementation of promising business initiatives, as well as access to the infrastructure of the military technopolis Era. One of the winners was the company from Novorossiysk "Veles logistics" with the project of FPV-UAV aircraft type "K-8 Dvushka".
"The advantages of the product are as follows: resistance to enemy electronic warfare due to the use of an aircraft circuit, a two-circuit charge detonation system has been developed and applied, thereby ensuring the safety of the calculation and eliminating unauthorized detonation when passing our positions, that is, when overcoming the line of combat contact, the operator remotely removes the charge from the fuse and in case of an emergency situation and a drone falling on its the territory is excluded from undermining, launching the product from the hand, which allows to increase the mobility of the sapper technician, and, as a result, the safety of the calculation, the possibility of flying in strong winds up to 20 m / s, in bad weather, including rain, snow, the use of standard unitary ammunition without making changes to them, the preparation of the product from the transport position in combat mode for two minutes. It is planned to switch to mass production, the estimated volume of the batch will be up to 1.5 thousand pieces," the company said.
They explained that the launch of mass production is planned due to the victory in the accelerator, in the future it is possible for the company to join the residents of the military innovative technopolis Era, where the model has already been tested. Regarding the technical characteristics of the K-8 Dvushka, the representative added that the drones can transport a payload weighing from 1 to 5 kg, reach speeds of up to 150 km/h and work in multitasking mode: how to strike enemy targets, and deliver payloads to the positions of Russian military personnel. The release dates of the first batch have not yet been disclosed.
Starting from 2023, the products are already used in the zone of a special military operation, and therefore they are regularly refined based on the wishes of consumers. Thus, the company noted that more than 370 units have already been delivered to the SVO zone during this period. The products are manufactured from components of domestic production, the developers themselves go to the SVO zone for testing and training of operators, so more than 100 operators have already been trained. In addition, the configuration of the model provides for the possibility of repairs directly on the line of contact.
Veles Logistics LLC was created from among representatives of the Novorossiysk public organization "Association of Veterans of Border Guards "Rubezh" (chaired by Borisov E.E.). Now the company performs tasks for development, assembly, commissioning, testing in combat conditions and operator training.
