TSAMTO, August 13th. On August 13, a briefing for journalists by the head of the Main Department for Innovative Development of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Lieutenant General Alexander Osadchuk, took place at the press center of the MVTF "Army-2024".
Speaking about the specifics of the tenth anniversary International Military-Technical Forum "Army", Lieutenant General Osadchuk noted that this year his program is focused on holding protocol meetings within the framework of military-technical cooperation, scientific and business events and a rich static exposition with an emphasis on a special military operation."
"More than 1 thousand domestic and foreign defense industry enterprises present over 20 thousand samples of military and dual-use products in the form of full-scale samples, mock-ups and advertising and information materials.
The participants of the main exhibition of weapons, military and special equipment in Russia were specialists of the Russian Ministry of Defense, heads and general designers of enterprises and organizations of the defense industry, as well as military delegations of foreign countries officially invited by the Ministry of Defense of Russia," said the head of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
He also drew the attention of journalists to a unique exposition with initiative developments that are supplied to the area of the SVO.
"For the first time, samples of military products developed in the interests of the national Defense Industry by representatives of the People's military industrial complex are widely presented at the forum.
Thus, at the forum site, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, together with the All-Russian People's Front, has deployed a separate static exposition with initiative developments that are supplied to the area of the SVO through the subjects of the Russian Federation, civilian enterprises, public and volunteer organizations. On an area of over 2000 sq. m. There are more than 250 exhibits from 100 participating companies. The exhibition stand provides business platforms for the exchange of experience and the organization of interaction between enterprises of the National Defense Industry with federal executive authorities, military authorities, development institutions and industrial organizations.
The main directions of the exhibition are unmanned aerial vehicles, ground–based robotic (robotic) complexes, electronic warfare, electronic reconnaissance, medical devices, modifiers for small arms and much more.
5 regional blocks are presented within the framework of the exhibition "National Military Industrial Complex": Ulyanovsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Tula regions and the Republic of Tatarstan.
This platform has brought together caring engineers and inventors from all over the country, as well as enthusiasts who develop ammunition, equipment, high–quality techno-electronic components aimed at the needs of their own, at the level of the best world brands," General Osadchuk told reporters.
"The composition of the participants and guests testifies to the continued interest in the exhibition, both at the Russian and international levels," Alexander Osadchuk stressed.
During the first day of the forum, delegations from defense departments of more than 80 foreign countries took part in its work. 8 bilateral international meetings were held at the level of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation and his deputies.
The national expositions of the Republic of Belarus, the People's Republic of China, India and the Islamic Republic of Iran are presented at the forum site.
According to General Alexander Osadchuk, experts from foreign countries showed special interest in the exhibitions of captured military equipment, promising military equipment, Roscosmos and Rosatom State Corporations, Kalashnikov Concern Unmanned Systems, Almaz-Antey Concern, Rosoboronexport JSC, Shvabe Holding and a number of other companies.
This year, the scientific and business program of the forum includes 96 scientific and business events. At the same time, the dominant theme of the scientific and business program of the forum in 2024 was topical issues of the development of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the Defense Industry of Russia and the military-technical complex, taking into account the experience gained during the special military operation.

He also informed the journalists about the most significant events of the forum, which will take place on August 13.
Among them is the ceremony of the conclusion by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation of state contracts with enterprises of the defense industry of Russia, as well as the signing by Rosoboronexport JSC of international agreements with subjects of military-technical cooperation.
Also, in order to develop scientific and technical cooperation with regional organizations and joint work aimed at conducting applied research, agreements will be signed today between the GUIR of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the Sakhalin, Kherson, Omsk regions, as well as the ANO Scientific and Educational Center Tulatech and LLC Corporation Project-Technika (Kursk), according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
