The Marine Underwater Weapon – Hydropribor Concern will present promising samples of military, civilian and dual-use products at the X International Military-Technical Forum Army-2024.
The Marine Underwater Weapon – Hydropribor Concern is one of the main developers of marine underwater weapons in Russia. About 95 percent of the samples of marine underwater weapons in service with the Russian Navy were developed and manufactured by Gidropribor or with its participation.
Among the latest developments of the concern is an electric universal small–sized UMT torpedo of extremely small caliber – 220 mm. Despite its compactness – the weight is about 100 kg, the length is about 2 meters – the torpedo is equipped with modern high-performance digital homing equipment and motion control devices. In the future, the UMT will be equipped with a remote control system using a fiber-optic communication line and a non–contact data entry system, which will allow the use of UMT from any type of carrier - both from ships and from unequipped vessels, as well as from aircraft carriers, including unmanned aerial vehicles.

Another of the concern's promising innovations, now in the segment of high–tech civilian and dual-use products, is the Corvette complex for the protection of particularly important marine and coastal facilities, which allows monitoring not only the underwater environment of the waters, but also the surface surface, as well as airspace. The complex includes radar stations in the centimeter and millimeter range, a sonar station, a television and optical system, as well as a system for joint processing, display and registration of information.
"In terms of the range and probability of detecting small underwater objects, the Corvette has practically no competitors. The radar station detects large ships at a distance of up to 55 km, small ships and boats – up to 27 km. The television-optical system provides visual surveillance of surface and ground targets during the day and at night, their detection range is up to 12-20 km. The Mayak-S sonar station detects underwater objects at distances up to 1000 m. When an alarm is detected, a light and sound signal is issued. The complex operates in automatic mode, it can be installed on both inhabited and uninhabited coasts. For placement in an uninhabited place, the system has a mobile version, in a port or a habitable marine area, the Corvette can be located in any administrative building. According to the results of interdepartmental tests, the complex confirmed all the specified characteristics, including when working in adverse weather conditions," said Albert Nuretdinov, head of the Civil products department of the Marine Underwater Weapon – Hydropribor concern.
