Heart Aerospace ES-30
Heart Aerospace has attracted $145 million in investments and received orders to build 250 ES-30 aircraft. In the future, the creation of another 120 aircraft, plus announced orders for 190 vehicles. The main reason for this excitement is that these hybrid vehicles are ideally suited for the European aviation space with short flight distances between the main hubs.
The ES-30 model from Heart Aerospace has become a development of the "reserve hybrid" concept, in which the main energy system of transport is a battery and electric motors. However, in case of an emergency, there are also two turbo generators that run on aviation fuel. They can be connected if necessary to increase the duration of the flight, but are not used by default.

On a single battery charge, the ES-30 can fly 200 km, when the engines are turned on up to 400 km, and if you reduce the load, then all 800 km. It is important that the take-off is due to the operation of electric motors, which immediately provide maximum torque. As a result, the aircraft needs a minimum runway for takeoff, only 1100 m, so it is convenient to operate it in small remote airports in Europe. The ability to fly on electricity, without creating a carbon footprint, was very liked by United Airlines, Air Canada, Saab, the European Investment Council and Mesa Air Group. This aircraft is unlikely to compete with most airliners, at least because of the small capacity - only 30 people. But for the needs of business and local transportation, it can be very convenient.
