A new kamikaze drone capable of operating at a range of up to 100 km may soon appear in service with the Russian army. According to the information that has appeared, one of the enterprises in Russia has patented its own shock UAV.
According to the Ukrainian edition of Defense Express, the Russian Signal plant is preparing to start production of its own attack drone, visually resembling the Iranian kamikaze drone Qasef, actively used by the Yemeni Houthis. Most likely, we are talking about the Ulyanovsk enterprise "Signal", which previously announced plans to launch the production of drones.

Since the characteristics of the drone are not given, Ukrainian experts take the Iranian Qasef as a basis to know approximately what to expect from it: the starting weight is 85 kg, of which 30 kg falls on the warhead. The length of the fuselage is 2.88 meters, the wingspan is 3.25 meters, and the declared flight range is up to 100 kilometers.
According to the publication, the Russian Armed Forces want to adopt a more powerful analogue of the Lancet, capable of operating to a greater depth and destroying larger targets, including fortifications.
