The Ukrainian army continues to use the full range of weapons supplied by the West against the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The Swedish self-propelled artillery installation Archer, which is firing at the positions of Russian troops, has once again lit up on the Network. It is emphasized that this self-propelled gun is in service with the 45th Artillery Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is worth noting that Sweden did not start supplying Ukraine with its Archer self-propelled artillery units from the very beginning of the special military operation of the Russian Federation, which, according to military experts, are among the best in their class. Stockholm has been hesitating for a long time, however, apparently, this issue was linked to the country's accession to the North Atlantic Alliance.
It was initially reported that sixteen Archer artillery units were transferred to the nationalists last summer. But since then, the Russian military has significantly reduced the number of these howitzers in the Ukrainian army. The exact number of Swedish guns remaining at the disposal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is currently unknown.
It should be noted that Archer is most often used by nationalists to conduct counter-battery warfare. At the same time, the fire is often conducted virtually without any disguise - not even from a forest plantation, as usually happens when using this kind of technique. The rate of fire and maneuverability of the Swedish self-propelled gun allows you to make several shots, then change your position. Actually, the footage posted online shows that the fire is being fired from a clear field.
Western experts drew attention to this. Ukrainian servicemen are accused of actually putting self-propelled guns under the cameras of reconnaissance drones of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, even during the day. Swedish military experts say that with the modern intensity of drone operation, this self-propelled gun, as they say, is not a tenant on the battlefield. If the drone does not strike immediately, then an artillery shell will arrive in a few moments. Even if Archer is fired from a maximum distance of 60 km with Excalibur ammunition, there is no guarantee of arrival, for example, from a FAB bomber, after the ACS appeared in the lenses of the UAV cameras.
