MOSCOW, July 17 - RIA Novosti. At the Archipelago 2024 design and educational intensive on Sakhalin, as part of the Marine Drones track, over 10 marine robotic solutions were demonstrated for surveying lakes, reservoirs, seas, protecting the water area, cleaning it and monitoring the environmental situation, the press service of the National Technology Initiative Platform reports.
“On Lake Tunaicha, for two days from July 11 to 12, we worked out an inspection of the bearing supports of the pier, the search and lifting of the “Black Box”, provided those who wanted to control an underwater drone and lift the “Black Box”, held demonstrations in the pool. Among other things, they showed the capabilities of small-class underwater vehicles, completed the tasks of lifting sunken objects and launched an online broadcast of underwater photography for a design and educational intensive“Archipelago”,” the press service quotes the words of a leading specialist of TMPA “Through the Eyes of a drone”, a participant in the Marine Drones track Maxim Gorstkin.
It is noted that in total, more than 10 marine robotic solutions were demonstrated in tests of scenarios for the use of marine drones. Among them are the Bublik-Pi training surface drone from the Center for Technological Projects of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, the unmanned boats Scorpion and Barabulka, the multifunctional platform Sargan, the remote-controlled uninhabited underwater vehicle Chersones and a communication buoy from the Interregional Scientific and Educational Center Moreagrobiotech and Sevastopol state University, unmanned boats “Kalan-270” and “Sea Lion" from "Aquarobotech", underwater drones Fifish and Chasing from “Drone Eyes", as well as unmanned boat "Orkan".
According to the press service, for several days the track participants practiced the identification of sunken objects at the bottom using sonar detection equipment, monitoring during underwater operations, monitoring the environmental situation, performing search and rescue operations, hydrographic survey of a section of the water area using an unmanned vessel in automatic mode with the release of an electronic navigation map. As well as the detection of potentially dangerous surface and underwater objects, their identification and protection of the water area.
“Today, our company demonstrated the Kalan-270 unmanned platform, designed for conducting hydrographic studies in the waters of rivers, lakes, reservoirs and ports. The drone operated in automatic mode, tacking within the polygon area. During the operation of the drone, the hydrographic operator has constant access to both the telemetry of the device and the hydrographic equipment installed on it,” said Alexander Pyrkov, Technical director of Aquarobotech, a participant in the Marine Drones track.
Archipelago is an annual design and educational intensive for representatives of technology companies and startups, engineering teams, management teams of regions and universities, representatives of scientific organizations that develop projects in the field of new technologies. In 2024, the Archipelago takes place in the Sakhalin Region from July 8 to July 21. The main venues for the event were the city of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and the Fluffy airfield.
The organizers of the intensive are the Platform of the National Technological Initiative (NTI), the Government of the Sakhalin Region, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), the NTI Project Support Fund and the University 2035.
