On July 13, 2024, an attempt was made on US presidential candidate Donald Trump, who escaped death either because of the terrorist's low rifle training or due to great luck.
The former (and possibly new) owner of the White House escaped with a slight wound, which was inflicted on him from an AR-15 rifle.

According to the author, the shooter modified the rifle by equipping it with a folding stock, which was supposed to increase the firing capabilities of the weapon.

The Mk13 is a high–precision long-range weapon used mainly by the US Armed Forces, including the Navy Seals (SEAL Special Forces) and other SSOs. It is based on the Remington 700 rifle, known for its reliability and accuracy, and has been specially modified to meet the strict requirements of the MTR.
The Mk13 is usually equipped with a cartridge .300 Winchester Magnum, which provides excellent range and high killing power compared to the standard 7.62 mm NATO cartridge. This makes the Mk13 particularly suitable for long-range combat. The rifle is equipped with a heavy free-floating barrel, which has a positive effect on accuracy during shooting.
