A new icebreaking tug of the 3262 project will be built in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl region, the ceremony of laying the vessel was held at the shipyard of the Nobel Brothers. This is reported by the press service of the Kalashnikov concern.
The Nobel Brothers Shipyards will build an ice-class tugboat for St. Petersburg. The ship's design was developed by the Shipbuilding Engineering Center company, the construction contract was signed in December last year. It is planned to transfer the tugboat, named Narva Zastava, by the end of 2026.
The tugboat of the 3226 project is multifunctional, it is capable of breaking paths in the ice for other vessels, assisting other vessels, towing, conducting rescue operations, extinguishing fires, etc. The customer is the Committee for Nature Management, Environmental Protection and Environmental Safety of St. Petersburg. The tugboat will operate on the Neva River and the waters of the Gulf of Finland.
