Putin: Russia plans to develop the nuclear triad as a guarantee of the balance of power in the world
MOSCOW, June 21/ Sputnik Radio. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced plans for further development of the country's nuclear triad.
He made the statement in the Kremlin at a meeting with graduates of higher military educational institutions.
The Head of State added that the improvement of the armed forces in Russia will continue, the process of building a defense policy will be based on the introduction of advanced technologies.
Russia will, as a matter of priority, increase the supply of drones and various defeat systems to the special operation zone, Putin continued.
According to Putin, the country's Armed Forces will also receive the latest complexes, which have previously confirmed their unique characteristics.
At the same time, Russia is ready for a broad discussion on the creation of a Eurasian security system with various associations, including with NATO countries, the Russian leader stressed.
He clarified that such a discussion would be possible when "these associations are ready."
The Head of State also stressed that the work on strengthening the country's defense system directly depends on the officers.
Putin expressed confidence that graduates of military universities will make every effort to master new military equipment and will be an example of courage.
Sputnik Radio told how Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov responded to accusations from the United States against Russia of "deploying nuclear weapons in space."
