On June 17, 2024, PJSC United Aircraft Corporation (PJSC UAC, part of Rostec State Corporation) announced the delivery to the Russian Ministry of Defense of the second batch of Su-34 front-line bombers this year as part of the execution of the state defense order. The aircraft were manufactured at the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant named after V.P. Chkalov of PJSC UAC. After carrying out a complex of factory tests, aviation equipment was sent to the troops.

Serial production of aircraft is carried out at the UAC enterprise - Novosibirsk Aviation Plant named after V.P. Chkalov. Su-34s form an important part of the striking power of Russian front-line aviation.
"Rostec aviation enterprises continue rhythmic deliveries of military aircraft according to the production program of the current year. The next batch of Su-34s has been transferred to the Russian Aerospace Forces. These bombers are in great demand in the area of their defense today. The capabilities of the aircraft allow pilots to effectively perform tasks in any theater of military operations using unguided and controlled aircraft weapons," said Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of Rostec State Corporation.
"Today, UAC enterprises are increasing the production of aircraft. To do this, we are improving technological and business processes in our production facilities, finding additional reserves to increase production volumes. In addition, we attract new employees to the factories. More than 600 new employees have been hired in Novosibirsk since the beginning of the year," said Yuri Slyusar, General Director of UAC, Vice President of Soyuzmash of Russia.
From the bmpd side, we point out that this is the second batch of Su-34M front-line bombers transferred to the Russian Aerospace Forces in 2024, built by the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant named after V.P. Chkalov (NAZ). The first batch was delivered on April 5. Starting from 2022, the official photographs distributed by the UAC show the flight and registration numbers of the aircraft transferred to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The bombers delivered in both batches in 2024 were apparently manufactured under a new contract signed in August 2022 by the Russian Ministry of Defense with the UAC for the manufacture of a certain number of Su-34M (Su-34NVO) aircraft. By the beginning of 2024, the total number of Su-34 bombers built was 163 units, including seven experimental and pre-production aircraft.
