In the area of responsibility of the Dnepr group of troops in the Zaporozhye region, a remotely controlled tank, called Vasya, was tested.
The captured Ukrainian T-72AMT, produced at the Kiev Armored Plant, was chosen as a working platform.
Judging by the video posted on the telegram channel "Airborne Pskov ZOV", its crew consists of two people. One is responsible for movement and maneuvering on the ground, the other activates a complex of weapons. At the same time, the equipment used in FPV drones is used.
Apparently, the tests were conducted several months ago. At present, apparently, the refinement of this prototype is continuing.
Work on the creation of remotely controlled tanks was carried out in the USSR back in the 30s. After the Great Patriotic War, they were continued. Great success was achieved in Leningrad, where robotic versions of the T-80 were designed, as well as options for uninhabited advanced tracked vehicles were being worked out.
