The strike capabilities of the Baltic Fleet in 2024 will be increased by the arrival of three small missile ships. This was reported to TASS by a source in the shipbuilding industry.

The production of MRK Kozelsk and Burya is carried out by the Leningrad Shipbuilding Plant Pella. MRK Stavropol is being built at the Zelenodolsk Gorky Plant.
The small rocket ships of the 22800 project (code "Karakurt") were designed by the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau. The length of the MRK is 60 meters, width is 10 meters, draft is 4 meters. The main power plant is diesel. The maximum speed is 30 knots, the cruising range is 2500 miles, and the autonomy is 15 days.
The Karakurt's armament includes an upgraded 76.2mm AK–176MA artillery launcher, two AK-630M anti-aircraft artillery complexes and the Kalibr-NK strike missile system.
The displacement of the MRK project 21631 (code "Buyan-M") is 949 tons with a length of 75 meters and a width of 11 meters. The maximum speed is 25 knots. The cruising range is 2500 miles, and the autonomy is 10 days. The crew consists of 52 people.
The Buyan-M armament consists of the Kalibr missile system, the A-190 100 mm artillery mount, as well as the Gibka launchers for Igla anti-aircraft missiles and the AK-630-2 Duet anti-aircraft artillery complex.
