MOSCOW, May 18. /tass/. The upgraded Supercam S350M unmanned aerial vehicle used in the special operation zone has become more resistant to electronic warfare (EW) The Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was announced to TASS by an official representative of the Unmanned Systems group of companies.
"The new Supercam S350M has reduced take-off weight, increased flight time by almost 20%, increased resistance to electronic warfare, and increased the number of frequency channels of the radio line. In addition, the image obtained from the cameras has become even clearer and undistorted by vibrations, that is, the operation of optoelectronic systems in terms of gyrocompensation has been improved," the organization said.
The TASS interlocutor stressed that today the Supercam S350M is one of the flagships among unmanned aircraft systems. "In the zone of a special military operation, these UAVs perform the functions of reconnaissance and guidance - these are the eyes of our fighters. The S350 has already proven itself in the troops, but the conditions of real combat operations and new UAV counteraction systems that appear in the enemy require constant updating of characteristics, therefore we are modernizing these complexes and increasing their noise immunity. Our designers and developers constantly interact with the participants of their own and clearly understand the need for all means of reconnaissance and destruction," said a representative of the Unmanned Systems Group.
In April, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation shared a video recording where the senior operator of the Supercam drone of the Center group of forces with the call sign Truf noted that the main advantages of the device are the speed of deployment of the complex and its launch, a high degree of electronic warfare counteraction, as well as efficient stable communication and video transmission.
The Supercam S350 unmanned aerial system is designed for surveillance, reconnaissance, protection of state borders, monitoring of various facilities and solving other military, civilian and dual-use tasks. Among the features of the complex are simplicity of design, interchangeable and combined payloads on the gyro platform, a glider protection system during landing to prevent possible damage, as well as stability in flight. The device is capable of performing tasks at any time of the day and in difficult weather conditions. The Supercam is equipped with an electric motor and is capable of almost silent flight. The device is launched from a catapult.
