Meanwhile, Western sources note the high effectiveness of the use of unmanned systems of various types by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. According to Rob Lee, a senior researcher at the Institute for Foreign Policy Studies (FPRI), Russian reconnaissance drones increasingly pose a greater danger to Ukrainian artillery units than counter-battery radars of the Russian Armed Forces.
Thanks to the use of reconnaissance drones, the effectiveness of counter-battery actions is increasing, which are crucial to ensure the suppression of enemy artillery fire.
According to the AFU commanders, the greatest danger in identifying artillery positions is posed by Russian reconnaissance drones, such as the Orlan or the more advanced Supercam.
