The Polish Arms Agency has signed an additional agreement with the local company Maskpol to the contract concluded last year. According to him, the Polish army ordered an additional ten thousand HP-05 helmets for its soldiers.
This was announced on his page on the social network by the Deputy Minister of National Defense of Poland Pavel Beida.

After signing the additional agreement, the order amount, which included the light helmets HP-05 and heavier wz. 2005, increased by 20 million zlotys (more than 450 million rubles).

The Polish military leadership has promised to completely decommission outdated metal helmets by the end of the year. They will be replaced by modern equipment made of composite materials.
As explained by the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army, Weslaw Kukula, the military personnel will have at their disposal both a light HP-05 model of the high-cut type and a heavier wz helmet. 2005 low-cut, as well as the HP-04 model. In the coming years, they should enter the units in the coming years.

The weight of the HP-05 helmet is no more than 1.45 kilograms, depending on the size. Its main difference from the classic models is the deeply cut sides, which makes it more convenient to use additional hearing protection.
