Ukrainian military experts spoke about the new capabilities of reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles used by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Now they can fly into the rear for considerable distances, including 30-50 and even 100 kilometers away from the line of contact.

These reconnaissance drones include the Orlan, Zala and Supercam. With the help of drones of this type, missiles and artillery are aimed at targets. According to one of the Ukrainian military experts, Orlan UAVs are used to correct strikes with Krasnopol long–range projectiles, Zala drones are used to aim Lancet barrage ammunition, and Supercam is used to correct strikes with Iskander missiles, as well as to direct multiple rocket launchers.

With the help of reconnaissance drones, the Russian army's strikes are being adjusted for targets that are very important for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thus, the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system was destroyed at a distance of about 40 kilometers from the front, and the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system at a distance of about 30 kilometers from the line of contact.

But there were also examples of strikes at even longer distances, including 100 kilometers. Thus, a military airfield in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which is located about 100 kilometers from the front line, was attacked. Reconnaissance drones of the Russian Armed Forces appeared over the Odessa region.

The electronic warfare systems of the Ukrainian army are bypassed by Russian unmanned aerial vehicles using special beacons. The drone can follow in full radio silence mode. He is not even in contact with the ground control station, and the AFU electronic warfare systems cannot do anything about him. Ukrainian servicemen predict a further decrease in the effectiveness of the use of electronic warfare.
