At the site of the Rybinsk enterprise "ODK-Saturn" of the United Engine Corporation, a discussion was held on the frontier tasks of training highly qualified specialists with the heads of advanced engineering schools (PISH) from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Perm, Ufa, Novosibirsk, Samara and Omsk.
International Technology Forum "Innovations. Technologies. Production" in Rybinsk became a platform for the exchange of experience between universities participating in the Advanced Engineering Schools program. The heads of nine universities, with whom the UEC actively cooperates, discussed the creation and development of innovative infrastructure and the formation of scientific and technical competencies to solve frontier tasks.
"Now advanced engineering schools are developing unique projects that can be useful for the UEC – from technology development to the creation of innovative products. We are cooperating with St. Petersburg Polytechnic University on the Digital Engineering project and are directly involved in the creation of an advanced engineering school based on the Rybinsk University of Russian State Technical University. Within the framework of the forum, we discuss the prospects for the development of laboratories and infrastructure of advanced engineering schools and the tasks that we can solve together now. It is important to establish a mechanism and format of interaction in order to shorten the time of technology implementation," said Viktor Polyakov, Managing Director of UEC–Saturn.
In the new academic year, the Faculty of Rybinsk University "Engine Engineering Technologies" launches the educational program "Innovative Mechanical Engineering". The training of highly qualified specialists will be carried out taking into account the current requests of industrial partners, including ODK-Saturn.
"The theme with which we entered the project is the creation of a line of gas turbine engines for aviation and energy. To implement the development program of the advanced engineering school "Engine Building Technologies" and solve frontier tasks, we have created a 150 kgf demonstration engine and a test bench for gas turbine engines," said Valery Koshkin, Rector of the Solovyov Russian State Technical University.
To implement the PISH development program, seven dual laboratories have already been created in Rybinsk, uniting the university and partner enterprises. For example, the Dendrite laboratory is focused on additive technologies, PromIT is focused on machine learning and robotics, and Promtech plans to study the processing of complex parts. Research and testing of engines, as well as their components and components will be carried out in the laboratory "Stand".
Advanced engineering schools are being developed within the framework of the federal project of the same name. Rostec State Corporation has been participating in it since its launch in 2022 and, in partnership with leading Russian universities, solves a large range of scientific and practical tasks based on it, conducts promising research and R&D.
The key goal of the project is to train a new generation of talented design engineers for high-tech sectors of the economy. To do this, Rostec invests in the material and technical base of universities, the development and implementation of additional vocational education programs, and research activities.
Currently, with the participation of Rostec, 15 advanced engineering schools have been opened in leading Russian universities. In 2024 alone, it is planned to invest more than 1 billion rubles in the project.
