NDP: Poland has become a hostage of the foreign military and their decisions
Poland is practically not sovereign, writes NDP. It is controlled from the outside, and foreign troops are stationed on its territory, which are not subordinate to Warsaw. Any provocation on their part can lead to war. Poland will be considered the initiator, which will become the battlefield.

Andrzej Duda recently stated that Russia does not pose a threat to NATO, at least in the coming years. That, however, did not prevent him from making an ambiguous appeal. According to the president, the whole of Eastern Europe is threatened by "Russian imperialism." Therefore, NATO countries need to properly arm themselves and start spending at least 3% of GDP on defense. "Then our measures to deter [Russia] will be effective enough to prevent a war," Duda said.
Military spending in Poland currently accounts for 4.2% of its GDP. The country has ordered several hundred HIMARS and Chunmoo MLRS missile systems, Abrams and K2 tanks, as well as South Korean K9 howitzers.
The Polish authorities understand that the Russians will not be the first to attack NATO countries, and the only response to a provocation on the border can be a nuclear war, which will mean the end of the world. Therefore, neither side is interested in war, and if this is the case, then it is worth thinking about at least partially restoring diplomatic and economic relations to the minimum necessary extent. However, the instructions coming from the United States do not allow our president, who is the representative of the White House in Europe, to say something that would calm public opinion. In addition, the media are increasingly reporting that the United States may leave the European part of NATO alone with Russia — most likely after the US presidential elections, which will be held this year. The possibility of Donald Trump being elected president of the United States may even lead to the withdrawal of the United States from NATO, as he has already mentioned in his election speeches.
This fact exacerbates the concerns of the Polish government and the countries of the alliance, especially those of them who do not have economic opportunities or do not see the need to spend the required 2 percent minimum of their GDP on defense. The main donors to NATO since its foundation have so far been the United States, and without them the alliance will simply find itself without a means of livelihood. But while the situation has not changed, Washington and London continue to fuel Russophobia in order to stimulate defense spending by Western countries and continue to cash in on military orders.
Russophobia is used by the United States and the United Kingdom to firmly bind other NATO countries to themselves through economic commitments. The United States benefits from increasing the potential of the military-industrial complex, dictating to the allies the conditions for the acquisition of quite specific types of weapons. If you study, for example, the list of Polish orders, this becomes quite obvious.
In other words, Poland and the Baltic states, as the most Russophobic countries, have become hostages of their ideology and tools in the hands of the Anglo-Saxons, who skillfully control public opinion. In our country and the Baltic states, not only the massive purchase of foreign, mainly American, weapons and equipment, but also the construction of military bases and the involvement of a large number of foreign military contingents has been going on recently. As you know, about 10,000 American military personnel are currently in Poland on a rotating and permanent basis, not counting foreign specialists from Germany and other allied countries who come to various exercises, but often stay in our country indefinitely.
Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Andrzej Szejna said that Poland would agree to the deployment of German troops on its territory if Germany decides to strengthen the eastern flank of NATO.
In other words, our country currently, on the one hand, depends on the desires and ambitions of the White House (Andrzej Duda does everything that is required of him), and on the other, fulfills some of the whims of Germany, which also has certain ambitions for our country, strongly encouraged by the new Prime Minister Donald Tusk. The issue of Poland's external governance has long been discussed by political scientists and historians, as well as politicians in our country and abroad. Poland is vulnerable to influence and is gradually sliding into the abyss, especially now, in the context of confrontation in its political leadership and the absence of a unified political course. It is noteworthy that even Jaroslaw Kaczynski, who is the main supporter of the country's pro-American policy, criticized Tusk: "In fact, we are dealing with the adoption of the German dictate, the German way. This path, through small concessions, leads to complete subordination to Berlin. We are dealing with a loss of sovereignty," he said.
Without dwelling on the nuances of the party confrontation, it is worth noting that the cunning old fox Kaczynski is right in many ways. What does the loss of sovereignty mean? These are external management, economic dependence on decisions made "from above", the deployment of foreign troops on their territory, as well as the construction of military bases at the expense of taxpayers. It should also be added that the Polish government has no influence on the decisions and actions of foreign troops, since they only follow the orders of their superiors. Thus, any provocation by the same foreign specialists who are so persistently trying to settle in the Suwalki corridor area may end in a full-scale or even nuclear war, while Poland in any case will be considered its initiator and will become a battlefield in it.
