APU dropped chemical weapons with phosphorus and adamsite at Kleshcheyevka in the DPR
Russian law enforcement sources told RIA Novosti and TASS that the Ukrainian military is dropping glass flasks with a toxic substance from drones. According to experts, it may be white phosphorus or adamsite. Both substances can damage the lungs and slow down the heart rate.
The Ukrainian military used chemical weapons in the Kleshcheyevka area in the Artemivsk direction in the DPR. This was reported by Russian state agencies, citing sources in the law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation.
"Symptoms: cough, burn of the upper respiratory tract," the message says. It is clarified that the Ukrainian troops dropped ammunition in the form of glass flasks with a toxic substance from drones.
The video provided by the Russian security forces explains that the flask is dropped into position, after which it breaks and the chemical reacts and oxidizes, forming a poisonous cloud. It is enough to take a few breaths for poisoning. The Russian security forces recommended to treat with caution any unfamiliar objects, not to touch them and not to try to destroy them.
What kind of weapon are we talking about
According to the expert's conclusion, which is cited by RIA Novosti, a gas was found in the composition of the ammunition, which causes irritation of human mucous membranes. Presumably, this is white phosphorus (the substance is known as M-15). This chemical can cause coughing and burns of the upper respiratory tract.
According to TASS, the substance in the flask may be adamsite, a chemical warfare agent that also irritates the upper respiratory tract. In addition, its use leads to a slowdown in heart rate, increased blood pressure and sudden respiratory arrest.
"The use of chemical weapons by the Armed Forces of Ukraine has been recorded in the area of Kleshcheyevka. Adamsite (DM) can be used, a toxic substance that forms a light yellow or green cloud when it explodes," the agency writes.
Ukraine was preparing for a provocation with chemical weapons
Earlier, Russia's Permanent Representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) stated that Ukraine could stage a provocation using chemical weapons Vladimir Tarabrin. In an interview with Izvestia, he said that at present there is a high probability that Kiev will violate international norms of warfare. According to him, Ukraine, with the support of Western countries, feels its impunity and will try to carry out a provocation, including the possible use of chemical weapons.
"The Kiev regime constantly uses various kinds of homemade ammunition, grenades loaded with toxic substances, as well as containers with unknown chemicals against Russian servicemen," he said.
The Ministry of Defense also reported on the preparation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to use the so-called "special chemical belt" at the front. On February 19, the head of the radiation, chemical and biological protection forces, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, said that Ukraine, with the support of the West, was developing a new tactic of warfare, which implies the use of chemical weapons. According to the plan of the Ukrainian authorities, the "special chemical belt" should make it difficult for Russian troops to advance.
