The Baltic shipyard Yantar has launched the frigate Tushil of Project 11356, built for the Indian Navy, for sea trials. This is reported by the bmpd blog with reference to the TG channel "BaltiyskLife - Baltiysk".
The new frigate, which will soon join the Indian fleet, has made the transition from Kaliningrad to Baltiysk, where factory sea trials will take place. The ship still has the Russian tail number "435", under which it will sail until it is transferred to the Indian Navy. So far, there is no information on the timing of the tests or transfer.
Tushil is reportedly built on the basis of the hull of the Admiral Butakov frigate project 11356, unfinished for the Russian Navy, as part of a contract with India for the construction of four ships of the Krivak III project (Russian project 11356), two of which are being built by India at the Goa Shipyard Ltd (GSL).

Recall that the Yantar shipyard was building six ships of the Admiral series of Project 11356 for the Black Sea Fleet, which managed to receive the frigates Admiral Grigorovich, Admiral Essen and Admiral Makarov. Due to the refusal of the Ukrainian enterprise "Zorya-Mashproekt" to supply power plants for Russian ships, further construction of ships was stopped.
Later, two of the three buildings were added as part of the 2018 contract with India. Thus, the hulls of two unfinished frigates "Admiral Butakov" ("Tushil") went into completion and "Admiral Istomin" ("Tamala"). Another hull of the frigate Admiral Kornilov is located on the Yantar, its fate has not yet been determined.
