Today, on February 19, two more missile catamarans of the Shahid Soleimani type - Shahid Hassan Bagheri and Shahid Sayad Shirazi - were accepted into the Navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran . If the lead ship of this project has the tail number FS313-01, then the new two received the tail numbers FS313-02 and FS313-03, respectively.
Missile catamarans of the Shahid Suleimani type have a length of 67 meters and a displacement of about 600 tons and, accordingly, they can be classified as corvettes. For their displacement, they have serious rocket and artillery weapons. The missile armament includes 6 inclined launchers for various types of Iranian anti-ship cruise missiles in transport and launch containers (it is stated that the range of the most long-range missiles reaches 700 km ), 16 (4x4) missiles of the Nawab naval air defense system (Nawab) in vertical launch installations (UVP) and 6 more (3x2) some missiles in much larger ATVs, probably for the previously shown modification of the Sayyad 3 medium-range anti-aircraft missiles (Sayyad 3) with vertical launch. The artillery armament includes one 30-mm artillery mount (AU) and 6 three-barreled 20-mm remotely controlled AU. In addition, the ships have a helicopter pad, and with the help of a crane in the aft part, small boats, including unmanned ones, can be launched from them.
The IRGC Navy corvette Shahid Sayad Shirazi received a radar like the light frigate Sahand of the Army Navy.
