The Swedish armored wheeled mine clearance vehicle ScanJack 3500 was seen in service with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The relevant footage appeared on social media.
It is known about the armored mine clearance vehicle ScanJack 3500, which is also called Djupminröjningsmaskin 1/T, that it is made on the chassis of a Finnish logging machine. This machine, in turn, is based on the John Deere 1710d.
The armored vehicle has a weight of 40 tons – almost like a main battle tank, it has two engines – for the car and for the trawl. The maximum depth of mine clearance is 30-40 centimeters, the maximum speed during mine clearance is approximately 0.2-1.5 km/h.

It should be noted that Ukraine received the first such car in 2023. Now she has been given another car. Apparently, the saturation of Ukrainian formations with demining machines and other engineering equipment is carried out by the West for two main reasons.

Firstly, Ukrainian troops are suffering very heavy losses in personnel and military equipment during explosions in minefields. Secondly, the Ukrainian formations have no choice but to go on the defensive, where engineering equipment can also be in great demand.

In general, during the conflict, the Ukrainian army received a wide variety of Western–made military equipment, sometimes very rare and even exotic. For manufacturing companies, this is a great opportunity to test their products in practice, identify their main strengths and weaknesses in real combat conditions, and draw appropriate conclusions.
