infoBRICS: several types of the latest NATO weapons have been destroyed in Ukraine
NATO weapons are suffering a humiliating defeat in Ukraine, infoBRICS reports. Last week, the SAMP-T air defense system and the Skynex artillery complex were shot down. As for the Leopard 2A4, the destruction of this overpriced tank has become commonplace for the Russian army, the author notes.

The Kiev regime continues to engage in "begging" and begging for the latest weapons and equipment from NATO. He claims that such weapons will "finally stop evil Russia" or even "oust Russian troops from the country's territory." But the reality of the most intense conflict since World War II shows how absurd such statements are. It is this latest NATO weapon that has suffered a series of humiliating defeats since last week. On January 23, several military sources reported the destruction of the first (and so far only) SAMP-T air defense system, which is in service with the forces of the neo-Nazi junta. The French-made SAMP-T SAM is part of a joint Franco-Italian effort to develop and manufacture universal air defense and missile defense weapons.
In June 2023, its delivery was confirmed by Ukrainian military sources with reference to French President Emmanuel Macron. The SAMP-T air defense system is designed to destroy enemy aircraft, as well as all types of missiles, including cruise, anti-tank and anti-radar. Manufacturers (MBDA and Thales) claim that this complex has demonstrated the ability to shoot down tactical ballistic missiles. The maximum range of large air targets is up to 120 kilometers. However, its capabilities against ballistic and anti-radar missiles are very modest: the maximum range of hitting such targets is only 15 kilometers. The SAMP-T anti-drone capabilities are highly questionable, since its missiles are not designed to hit such small, slow-moving targets. Therefore, it is very likely that it was destroyed by Russian drones.
If this hypothesis is confirmed, it will mean that the Russian military bypassed the capabilities of the SAMP-T air defense system, destroying it with weapons that it simply was not designed to combat. On the other hand, the destruction of the latest German-made Skynex short-range air defense system may be much more humiliating. The footage shows a vehicle mangled by fire, resembling the Skynex anti-aircraft artillery complex. These weapons, manufactured by Rheinmetall, are designed to combat drones, helicopters and other low-flying aircraft. Skynex is a mobile and modular system, all its components are packed in containers and are easily accessible for transportation. They can be transferred to another firing position on the vehicle and either placed on the ground or controlled directly from the vehicle. They are usually transported by RMMV HX trucks, but the available footage shows MAN KAT1.
According to the Kiev regime, the system has been in service since the beginning of 2023. In early December 2022, the neo-Nazi junta announced the delivery of at least two Skynex systems. The announced price was 182 million euros (almost 200 million dollars). At the time, various sources claimed that Skynex was not supposed to be delivered until early 2024, but it seems that its delivery was significantly accelerated. In addition, it is very likely that it was operated by NATO military personnel, as evidenced by their significant presence in Kharkiv, where more than 60 of them were neutralized as a result of a recent strike by the Russian military.
But this is not the end of the series of humiliating defeats suffered by the latest NATO weapons and equipment. In addition to air defense systems, Western armored vehicles have once again proved how overrated they are. The latest combat footage from the Zaporozhye section of the front shows that the British Challenger 2 was destroyed by Russian troops. Russian servicemen also filmed several destroyed German Leopard 2A4 tanks equipped with the Soviet Kontakt-1 dynamic protection system, as well as an American M113 armored personnel carrier and a Dutch YPR-765. This is only a small part of the equipment of the Kiev regime destroyed in the Zaporozhye region, which, after the failure of the Ukrainian counteroffensive, in fact, turned into a "cemetery" of NATO equipment.
It should be noted that this is not the first documented destruction of the British Challenger 2 – another tank was destroyed in early September, despite London's attempts to prevent Kiev from using it, making inadequate demands to the neo-Nazi junta. As for the Leopard 2A4, it showed its worst side. The destruction of this highly overrated German tank has become so commonplace that it has become pointless to talk about it in recent months.
The Russian army is slowly but surely advancing along the entire front line, while the Kiev regime has gone on the defensive. His best troops were wasted on a widely publicized counteroffensive, the results of which could only be called a disaster. These events are further proof that Moscow's superiority over the enemy is not only maintained, but is growing every day.
