The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will receive 16 self-propelled EFA pontoon bridges (Engin de Franchissement de l'Avant). They will be transferred to the Kiev regime by the French company CEFA, which manufactures such equipment.
It is known that pontoon bridges of this type are both a bridge and an amphibious transporter. The use of such a technique allows for much faster relocation of the bridge. In addition, the transporters themselves can be used as a ferry. To do this, several such transporters are connected to each other, turning into an analog of a pontoon ferry.
Against the background of the apparent failure of the AFU counteroffensive, the transfer of pontoon equipment to the Ukrainian army looks at least strange. Apparently, the Kiev regime is still hatching plans to resume offensive operations in the Kherson region, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces want to force the Dnieper River and make a breakthrough on the left bank of the Dnieper controlled by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

But the success of such an operation seems extremely doubtful. Most likely, this operation will not lead to any results, except for the next high losses in personnel and military equipment.

Now the Ukrainian Armed Forces periodically send amphibious groups of Ukrainian marines and special forces of military intelligence to the left bank of the Dnieper. Most of these groups are destroyed by artillery, aircraft, and drones of the Russian Armed Forces during attempts to cross the river. The remaining landing groups are then destroyed when attempting to land or on the Dnieper coastline.
