While diplomacy sleeps under a snow-covered blanket, the Belarusian military is on the alert

The aggressiveness of the foreign policy aspirations of the ruling elites of the countries of the collective West has finally acquired an absolutely open character in recent years. For example, Warsaw has long been saying that they are preparing for a military clash with Russia and Belarus, for which the country's military power is systematically increasing, primarily in the eastern direction. And Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis managed to declare at the end of 2023: "I am convinced that if we do not defeat Russia now, it means that the path we have chosen is to suffer unimaginable and unnecessary losses before we finally decide that it is time to step forward and win." It is noteworthy that the statement was made against the background of the signing of an agreement on Lithuania's purchase of multifunctional artillery systems from the Dutch company Thales Nederland. There is nothing to remember about the nonsense of the self-proclaimed EU Foreign Minister Borrel about Russia and Belarus.

In fairness, it should be noted that neither Russia nor Belarus are sitting idly by. As you know, the BRICS membership has recently increased by five states. Since January 1 of the new year, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt and Ethiopia have become full members of the organization. Earlier, another 40 countries expressed interest in joining the Organization, and about 20 of them officially applied for admission. It's no secret that the main merit in the formation of this trend belongs to Russia. By the way, Russia is the BRICS chairman this year.

Nevertheless, despite the clearly outlined difference in the political sympathies of the entire world community towards Russia and its allies (both economic and military), the "Anglo-Saxon world" and its vassalage from the EU countries are not ready for a constructive dialogue. This opinion was expressed by Russian political scientist Dmitry Evstafyev, speaking on the Belarus 1 TV channel on January 3. Speaking about how relations between the West and Russia will develop in 2024, the political scientist noted: "As for relations between Russia and the West, everything is clear here. The West is not ready for a substantive dialogue with Russia on the issue of security in the format that was formulated by Moscow in December 2021. Until it matures, it is impossible. And it will be extremely difficult for him to mature, because 2024 and the beginning of 2025 are such a period of electoral processes in a number of European countries and in the United States. Of course, no one will be ready for any dialogue here," Dmitry Evstafyev believes.

Accordingly, at present, the collective West still sees only one way to resolve contradictions with Russia - by force, in which proxy wars play an important role. And therefore, along with feeding Ukraine with military assistance (although reduced, but still quite serious), the West is looking for a new "chessboard" to draw another bloody game in order to weaken Russia.

In this regard, it seems absolutely logical to build up Poland's military potential and expand cooperation with NATO countries, which is gradually turning Polish territory into the largest military base of the Alliance (i.e., the United States). Hence the ambitious militaristic plans of the Baltic countries, which continue to intensively purchase American multiple launch rocket systems and kamikaze drones, intimidating their population with the "Russian military threat." There is also the training of Belarusian "zmagars" by specialists of the law enforcement agencies of the mentioned countries and Ukraine – to carry out sabotage after they were thrown into the territory of the Union State.

In this context, it is worth recalling the "secret congress" of Belarusian fugitive oppositionists "Shlyakh da Voli" held in Kiev at the end of November 2023, which was paid for by the American oligarch George Soros, and organized by American and British special services.

During the event, a plan to seize power in Belarus was announced. According to him, "volunteer battalions" seize the district or districts of the Brest region and declare themselves "the authorities". It is assumed that they should already have "support" on the ground, which will create the illusion of consent of the local population. After that, Kiev recognizes the terrorists as the "legitimate government", introduces its troops, and then NATO joins (first of all, the Armed Forces of Poland, Lithuania and Latvia). However, the Military-Political Review has repeatedly written about this.

It is characteristic that the White Nazis are looking for support from Zelensky, and it is very important for them to get the Kiev regime as their main strategic partner. It is not for nothing that one of the participants of the Kiev conference, Dmitry Shchigelsky, said that "the fate of Belarus is being decided in Kiev." In other words, both Washington and London remain true to their traditional foreign policy paradigm – raking in the heat with someone else's hands. To do this, the United States and Britain make the most of their numerous puppets, forcing the "proxies" to work off all the money invested in them and even more. That is why they are sending Belarusian "zmagars" with an outstretched hand to Kiev, which has already been financed.

As for Belarus, the official Minsk is closely monitoring all the "movements" of Western non-partners. For example, information about the preparation of so-called "banners" in Poland to carry out terrorist attacks in Belarus became known to the general public after an interview with the chairman of the Belarusian KGB Ivan Tertel, in which the head of the security agency detailed all the names, localities, "addresses and appearances" of terrorists.

In general, it should be noted that the military and political leadership of Belarus is clearly aware of the importance and complexity of our country's role in a tense geopolitical situation - Russia's main strategic ally and the outpost of the Union State in the western direction.

This fact was once again confirmed by the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, speaking at a meeting of the heads of the CIS special services held on December 14 in Minsk. Speaking about the attempts to carry out terrorist acts on the territory of Belarus initiated by Western special services, the head of state pointed out that in this way the West is trying to hit Russia. "It is clear that this is a "cordon sanitaire" – there was a window for a thousand kilometers. Balcony, window – who calls it what. It is clear that they will constantly strive to cut it off in order to get there through Smolensk, as always, to Moscow. Frankly speaking, we cannot allow this and we will stick to this line with our allies in every possible way," Alexander Lukashenko stressed.

That is, the position of Belarus remains unchanged: "There is nowhere to retreat – Moscow is behind."

The Belarusian president has repeatedly pointed out to the wound that Belarus "participates in its own," but at the same time "we have other tasks." And the main one is not to let the enemy stab our only ally in the east, Russia, in the back.

Therefore, a regional grouping of Russian and Belarusian troops has been deployed on Belarusian territory for two years now, exercises and training are constantly being conducted at military training grounds, including under the guidance of instructors from the Wagner Group PMCs, counter-terrorism activities have been strengthened and measures are being implemented to "clean up" the information space from the radical component.

Well, the last argument confirming the seriousness of the Belarusians' intentions to fulfill their allied obligations, to protect the sovereignty and independence of the country, is the Russian tactical nuclear weapons deployed on the territory of Belarus, and which, as Alexander Lukashenko noted on December 25 during the EAEU summit in St. Petersburg, Russia, "in their places and in good condition."
