The Slovak company CSM Industry is engaged in the production of special multifunctional UDS excavators on Rheinmetall MAN, Tatra and Iveco chassis and produces Patria 8x8 AMV XP armored personnel carriers for the armed forces of the country under a Finnish license. She decided to make money on the Ukrainian arms market.
As stated by the company on the LinkedIn Slovakia resource, the APU will receive from it a universal mine clearance machine UOS Bellarty, created on the chassis of the T-55/72 tank with the installation of an armored superstructure from the UDS 214 excavator instead of the tower.
UOS Bellarty is a hydraulically controlled system designed for engineering and barrier removal. It neutralizes anti-personnel and anti-tank mines by deepening hammers (chains) up to 20 cm, which leads to their detonation or mechanical destruction.

The chassis of the T-55 tank is equipped with a John Deere diesel engine. With an operating weight of 39,900 kg, the car can reach speeds of up to 10 km/h off-road and 30 km/h on hard surfaces, with an average fuel consumption of about 330 liters per 100 km.
Using about 20 different devices and tools (for example, hydraulic shears, hydraulic hammer, carving knife, etc.), with the help of UOS Bellarty, it is possible to perform small and medium-scale earthworks (digging trenches, positions for tanks, sites for foundations, channels, ditches, etc.). The machine can also serve as a lifting device loads weighing up to 7000 kg.
