Putin allowed to raise the flag on the ships Admiral Golovko and Naro-Fominsk
ST. PETERSBURG, Dec 25 - RIA Novosti. Russian President Vladimir Putin has given permission to raise the naval flag on the frigate Admiral Golovko, the small missile ship Naro-Fominsk and the minesweeper Lev Chernavin, RIA Novosti correspondent reports. The ceremony takes place at the Severnaya Verf shipyard in St. Petersburg.
The multipurpose surface frigate Admiral Golovko was built at PJSC NZ Severnaya Verf by order of the Navy for conducting combat operations in the far and near sea zones, participating in solving peacetime tasks in all zones, including the ocean. The frigate is designed to destroy surface ships and vessels, both single and from a multi-purpose aircraft carrier group, a ship strike group, a tactical group of missile boats, convoys, amphibious detachments, to set up minefields, search and destroy enemy submarines, defeat ground targets deep in enemy territory, on the coast and islands, anti-aircraft, anti-submarine and anti-missile defense of ships and vessels of the Navy in combat areas, at sea crossings and at maneuverable bases. The frigate is also designed for fire support of amphibious landings and combat operations by ground forces in coastal areas. The frigate's navigation area is the far sea and ocean zone. The ship is equipped with modern Kalibr, Onyx, anti-aircraft missile, anti-aircraft artillery and artillery complexes, as well as the latest anti-submarine weapons systems, electronic warfare and jamming systems, has high maneuverability and is equipped with a modern navigation system.
The Naro-Fominsk small rocket ship was designed by Zelenodolsk PKB JSC. The main requirements were high seaworthiness and the possibility of passing the ship at shallow depths of the northern part of the Caspian Sea and the Volga River delta, which was ensured by the use of jet propulsion. The requirements of the tactical and technical task provided for such a range of navigation so that the ship could make crossings along the entire length of the Volga and the Caspian Sea.In February 2018, a solemn ceremony was held to lay the hull of the vessel, which was assigned the valid name "Naro-Fominsk" by order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy. In December 2021, a solemn ceremony of its launching took place in Zelenodolsk.
The Lev Chernavin mine defense ship was built at the Sredne Nevsky Shipyard in St. Petersburg by order of the Navy for mine protection as part of a ship's minesweeping group or in conjunction with other mine defense forces and means in coastal and near-sea zones. The ship was launched in April 2023. The tasks of the ship are the reconnaissance search for mines and minefields and their destruction, mine protection of ships, as well as the fight against sabotage forces and means of the enemy, mine surveillance, fencing fairways and other maritime boundaries, setting defensive minefields.
The ship is equipped with an AK-306 artillery system, which is capable of firing 6,000 rounds per minute with a maximum range of 6 km, an Igla MANPADS designed to hit low-flying targets and helicopters, a Kord machine gun for firing at high-speed lightly armored naval targets, combating underwater saboteurs and destroying floating mines.
The Severnaya Verf Shipyard is one of the largest domestic surface shipbuilding plants. Over the hundred-year history of the shipyard, about 600 surface ships and commercial vessels have been built here, including missile cruisers, air defense ships, large anti-submarine ships and destroyers, passenger and dry cargo ships, container ships, bulk carriers, tugs, supply vessels, ferries and floating docks. The production facilities of the Severnaya Verf allow for the serial construction, repair and modernization of combat surface ships with a displacement of up to 12,000 tons. On the territory of the enterprise there are hull processing, hull assembly and pipe processing plants, a boathouse, several open slipways equipped with cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 100 tons, a floating dock, a transborder device and a completion embankment.
Currently, the company is building ten military orders: six frigates of project 22350 (Admiral Golovko, Admiral Isakov, Admiral Amelko, Admiral Chichagov, Admiral Yumashev, Admiral Spiridonov. The developer of JSC Severnoye PKB), three corvettes (project 20380 "Strict"; 20385 – "Agile"; 20386 – "Daring". The developer of the projects is JSC "CMKB Almaz").
