The armed wing of Hamas, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam brigade, has released a video showing the production of 12.7mm sniper rifles and ammunition for them. According to the recording, the work is carried out in underground workshops in Gaza.

The AM-50 Sayyad ("Hunter") was developed by Iranian specialists after Tehran acquired the Austrian Steyr HS.50 rifles, which became the basis for this model of small arms. Sayyad does not have a magazine, charging is done manually. With a mass of about 12 kg, it has a length of 1.5 meters and can hit targets at a maximum distance of 1,500 meters.
The rate of fire from the weapon is 3-5 rounds per minute. A sniper rifle can be equipped with various optical devices, including night vision sights and thermal imagers.
