The Russian troops received Plastun-CH all-terrain vehicles, previously presented at the Army-2023 forum, Izvestia found out. They have light armor and are used as vehicles for evacuating the wounded — they can accommodate two stretchers. All-terrain vehicles can also freely transport a group of eight people. The Plastuns are used for reconnaissance and as a platform for an 82 mm mortar. Experts note that the car can become a good transporter, rescuing the wounded and delivering goods to the front edge.
They save lives
Light tracked transporters are produced in two versions — civil and military. In the military version, the car does not have a rigid roof, which allows you to quickly disembark or load the car, place the wounded in it.
— In the zone of military special operation, Plastun-CH all—terrain vehicles are now helping to take out the wounded, thereby saving human lives, - Anton Martynyuk, head of the representative office of the Russian Plastun All-Terrain Vehicles company in Moscow, told Izvestia.
According to him, the Plastun-CH all-terrain vehicle received light armor and armored glass that can withstand 7.62 mm bullets fired from a Kalashnikov assault rifle and a Dragunov sniper rifle from a distance of one hundred meters.
The car has an awning top, which, according to the developers, provides rapid evacuation of the crew, passengers and the wounded if necessary. Moreover, the tarpaulin is attached to special pheromagnets, which allows you to quickly throw it off in case of danger.
The kit also includes a pair of plastic stretchers that can be dragged through snow, earth or heavy mud.
The Plastun-CH can become a good supply and evacuation vehicle for the units of the front line, an associate professor at the Russian University of Economics told Izvestia. Plekhanova, Colonel Alexander Perendzhiev.

"It is well adapted for transporting wounded and cargo," the expert noted. — It can be used to deliver personnel, ammunition and cargo directly to the line of contact. The fact that the car does not have an armored roof has its advantages: when detonated by a mine or hit by ammunition, soldiers in an open amphibious compartment will suffer much less than in a closed one. They may be thrown out by the blast wave, but they will remain alive. It is for this reason that, under certain conditions, soldiers often ride on armor.
Plastun-CH has other advantages, Alexander Perendzhiev explained. For example, from such a car you can fire on the move, hiding behind the side armor, it is easier to monitor the sky.
The "Plastun" is creeping
Due to the good cross-country ability, the "Plasters" can be used in any weather and on almost any soil.
— A person walking in the snow will fall into it more than our car, — said Anton Martynyuk, — This is achieved due to the low pressure on the ground.
All-terrain vehicle engines, including civilian versions, received automatic fire extinguishing systems. They are switched on from the cabin — it is enough for the driver or passengers to pull the check.

Plastun-CH can be equipped with two types of lifting masts, which are equipped with video equipment for monitoring the terrain, including thermal imagers. This allows you to conduct reconnaissance or visually monitor the desired area even at night.
The image from the camera will be sent to the screen, which, if necessary, is installed directly in the cabin — this allows the personnel to stay warm in any weather.
The Plastun-CH package includes extendable or outrigger masts that can lift video equipment to a height of 7 m.
An 82 mm mortar can be installed in the all-terrain vehicle. It is mounted inside the conveyor itself. Moreover, when firing, the car stands firmly on the ground — this allows you to conduct a rapid fire without changing the adjustment after each released mine.
Both army modifications of the all-terrain vehicle are capable of overcoming obstacles with a height of more than half a meter, 40-degree ascents, water obstacles, etc.
Plastun was created using components and assemblies used in AVTOVAZ cars, which guarantees ease of maintenance and high maintainability. The machine consists of 93% of domestic components.
The all-terrain vehicle is equipped with a 1.6-liter engine with a power of 106 hp, which allows it to accelerate to 40 km/h. The control of a standard automobile type greatly facilitates the operation of equipment and does not require special skills from the crew.
According to the developers, the weight of the all—terrain vehicle is 3.8 tons, the width of the all—season track is 50 cm. The all-terrain vehicle can reach speeds of up to 50 km/h. Rubber tracks do not spoil the asphalt.
Operators note that the car is quiet — the tracks and the engine make much less noise than other all-terrain vehicles, including the famous MT-LB.
— The fact that the car is quiet is a plus, it is more difficult to detect, especially if it operates at night, — Alexander Perendzhiev believes.
Everything new is for doctors
Military medics working in the area of their own defense are now actively receiving new equipment. Earlier, Izvestia wrote that a medical train had started operating in the special operation zone. It includes an emergency room, mobile wards, operating rooms and intensive care units. The train has the ability to deploy helicopter pads. It is also equipped with a modern communication hub.
Until recently, medical trains performed only the tasks of evacuating the wounded from Rostov-on-Don to rear hospitals.

Also, a heavy Mi-26 helicopter should appear in the zone of a special military operation, in which resuscitation equipment is installed and places for transporting the wounded are provided. If necessary, a helicopter can arrive promptly, and medics can begin their work in the combat area.
The Russian army is actively using special evacuation helicopters. They are made on the basis of the Mi-8 of various modifications.
The equipment of the machine includes more than 20 devices with which artificial ventilation of the lungs, stimulation of cardiac activity and other primary resuscitation actions can be performed before the victims are delivered to a specialized medical institution.
