Russian troops began to protect positions from enemy FPV drones by installing special frames and ceilings over trenches. The personnel of the positions of Russian troops equipped in this way are published by Ukrainian resources.
Attack drones, including kamikaze drones, have recently become widespread. Relatively cheap FPV drones are used to destroy both armored vehicles and manpower. It is almost impossible to hide from drones in trenches open from above, as evidenced by numerous videos shot by both sides of the conflict.

Now the Russian military has come up with protection against drones by installing frames and ceilings over trenches. Naturally, such protection will not save from a direct hit, but it will make it difficult to visually monitor the movement of Russian servicemen along these trenches. It will be impossible to deliver a targeted blow to the fighters, and this is saving someone's life. Recently, FPV drones have been causing a lot of problems, actually replacing the enemy's artillery.
By the way, it would not be surprising if after a while we see exactly the same protective structures over the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
