North Korea still managed to put a reconnaissance satellite into orbit on the third attempt. The launch of the rocket, carried out on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, turned out to be successful. This is reported by the Korean Central Telegraph Agency (KCNA) with reference to the statement of the DPRK State General Directorate for Aerospace Technology.

According to the report, the launch of a new type of carrier rocket "Chollima-1" with a military satellite "Manrigen-1" was carried out from the Sohae cosmodrome, located in the Cheolsan County of North Pyongan province. The launch of the satellite into orbit took almost 12 minutes and was considered successful.

At 22 hours 42 minutes and 28 seconds on November 21, 2023, the DPRK State General Directorate for Aerospace Technology successfully launched the Manrigen-1 reconnaissance satellite using a new type of Chollima-1 launch vehicle at the Sohae Cosmodrome in the Cheolsan County of North Pyongan Province. 705 seconds after launch, at 22 hours 54 minutes 13 seconds, the satellite was put into orbit

The launch was personally observed by the leader of the DPRK, Kim Jong-un, who congratulated the people of the republic on such a significant event. Now Pyongyang plans to launch several more reconnaissance satellites into orbit.

Recall that the first two attempts by the DPRK to place a military spacecraft in orbit ended in failure, in May there were problems with the operation of the second stage of the rocket due to fuel, in August problems with the third stage were reported. This time everything worked normally.
