SkyRyse system
As you know, it is very difficult to control a helicopter, so pilots who are able to perform complex figures in flight are, as a rule, professionals of the highest class. However, they are also powerless if the helicopter engine suddenly fails.
Created in 2016, the California company Skyryse is ready to present a simplified helicopter control system, which for the first time in the world will implement a robotic safety function based on autorotation during an emergency landing.

For reference: autorotation is the rotation of the helicopter's main rotor due to the incoming air flow, which creates enough lift for planning and landing. This is, in fact, the last chance for the pilot in case of engine failure to save himself and the car. In July, test pilots Jason Trask and Eliot Seguin successfully tested the Skyryse autorotation system on a Robinson R66 helicopter. It fixes the engine failure, after which it immediately — much faster than the pilot — does everything necessary to start the autorotation mode. Already in the process of lowering, it maintains high screw speeds. After entering the glide path (descent trajectory), the pilot only has to choose a place to land.
