SAGA UHAB
The Danish company SAGA Space Architects has designed the UHAB underwater station, designed to simulate a person's stay in space. This approach will allow us to study possible difficulties and problems that arise during a long stay of people outside normal conditions. The UHAB module, attached to the seabed, is capable of receiving up to 4 trainees at a time for a period of more than a month. It is completely sealed and has everything you need for a long stay of people.

It is expected that participants will experience psychological and physical difficulties during training due to being in a confined space. The station can provide invaluable information about methods of combating claustrophobia during upcoming flights to other planets. The final version of UHAB with a "residential" area of about 10 sq. meters will be launched in 2026 at a depth of 10 meters. The developers made sure that it was reliably protected from destruction.

The demo version of UHAB for one person was successfully tested by one of the co-founders of the company, Sebastian Aristotelis. The man spent two days at a depth of 7 meters. This allowed us to test and evaluate the ideas of the SAGA designers in practice. It is reported that in addition to its main task, UHAB can also be used for oceanographic research.
