Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec State Corporation and Chairman of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia, held a joint meeting of the Bureau of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia and the League for Assistance to Defense Enterprises. The participants discussed new approaches to the development of high-tech industry and defense industry as a response to the challenges of the time. The event was also attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Union, President of the League Vladimir Gutenev, Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in SibFO Anatoly Seryshev, Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Ural Federal District Vladimir Yakushev, members of the Bureau of the Union and the League, heads of state corporations and large industrial enterprises, State Duma deputies, chairmen of Russian trade union organizations and other representatives of ministries, departments and organizations.
Opening the meeting, Sergey Chemezov noted that industrial production shows steady growth in the face of external challenges. "We have been living under large-scale economic sanctions for more than a year and a half. Russia, despite the difficulties, continues to move in a given vector. The results of the structural adjustment of the economy are already clearly visible. The industry has reached the pre-war level of the beginning of 2022 and has continued to grow since the spring of this year. We are talking not only about the state defense order, but also civil industries: with the departure of foreign companies, domestic manufacturers have gained niche advantages and are increasing output, expanding its range. This is facilitated by the operational decisions of the president, the government, legislators, as well as the initiatives of the largest industry association – the Union of Machine Builders of Russia," said the head of Rostec.
Sergey Chemezov stressed that the expert structures of the Union and the League are one of the most important tools for the implementation of industrial policy. "We are also looking for new approaches, including within the framework of the work of our expert structures," he explained.
According to the head of the Union, two more new structures were created: the Committee for the Development of Promising Competencies in the Field of vocational education, Personnel Management and Social Policy, as well as the Commission on the development and promotion of programs for the popularization of engineering and working professions, cultural, patriotic and ideological projects of the SMR.
Vladimir Gutenev in his speech spoke about legislative activities aimed at legal regulation in the field of industrial policy, as well as about the current work of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia.
"The geopolitical situation dictates the need for innovative approaches in lawmaking. Only thanks to flexible non-standard solutions, new tools and forms will we be able to achieve the key goals of scientific and technological development and the competitiveness of our products on the world market," he added.
In his speech, Deputy Chairman of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia, Director General of Rosoboronexport JSC Alexander Mikheev outlined the problems and solutions of military-technical cooperation.
Oleg Yevtushenko, Executive Director of Rostec State Corporation, member of the Soyuzmash Bureau of Russia, presented the training program "Marketing of high-tech products. Product line management".
Deputy Chairman of Soyuzmash of Russia, head of Promsvyazbank Peter Fradkov informed about the new financial instruments that are being implemented by PSB.
Nikolay Kolesov, a member of the Soyuzmash Bureau of Russia, General Director of the Russian Helicopters Holding, told about the strategies for entering the foreign market and the development of the defense industry.
Mikhail Pogosyan, a member of the Soyuzmash Bureau, Rector of MAI, spoke about solving the personnel shortage in the conditions of increased load on the defense industry and innovative approaches in the higher education system. In particular, the rector of the Moscow Aviation Institute spoke about the implementation of a pilot project of an adaptive three-stage education system at his university.
The Director of the Research Institute of Eye Diseases, Dr. Youssef Naim Youssef, informed about the creation and implementation of innovative medical equipment on the example of the interaction of the Research Institute of Eye Diseases and Rostec State Corporation.
Dmitry Eroshok, a member of the Bureau of the Union of Machine Builders of Russia, head of the company "Natspromleasing", reported on the new mechanisms of insurance and logistics.
Also, within the framework of the Bureau meeting, state and departmental awards were presented to members of the Bureau, representatives of the executive and legislative authorities, enterprises and organizations of the Union and the League.
