As part of a working trip to Severodvinsk on October 13, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC "USC" Andrey Kostin, CEO of the corporation Andrey Puchkov and State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Viktor Yevtukhov checked the progress of the implementation of the State Budget for the PO "Sevmash" and the CS "Zvezdochka" (part of the USC).
As the head of the Board of Directors of the corporation Andrey Kostin noted, "Sevmash is a powerful enterprise that confidently looks to the future. The staff of the plant carries out the most important task of strengthening the defense of our country. The company is being modernized, the shipyard is working on modern equipment, there is order on the territory, which highly characterizes the management of the plant. We see that not only production is paid attention here, but people are also taken care of."
"We know that there are certain issues on loading, on prospects. I am sure that we, working with our main customer, will be able to form a program for the coming years in such a way that enterprises work at maximum speed," Andrei Puchkov, in turn, said.
At Sevmash, the heads of the USC and the Ministry of Industry and Trade paid special attention to the construction of the Emperor Alexander III and Krasnoyarsk submarines. The submarines will strengthen the grouping of strategic and multi-purpose missile carriers that are already serving on the country's maritime borders. During the inspection of the workshops involved in the creation of two lines of nuclear submarines of the 4th generation of the Yasen-M and Borey-A projects, Sevmash CEO Mikhail Budnichenko reported on the passage of the ships of the slipway period and the main part of the tests.
"Today Sevmash is provided with orders through the State Budget. This year's delivery program provides for the transfer of two new submarines to the fleet, and the repair of the Admiral Nakhimov heavy nuclear missile cruiser continues. I am sure that after the approval of the State Armament Program, the enterprise will also have a stable load for the long term. It is very important to fulfill orders on time in order to prove once again that this is the leading shipbuilding enterprise in our country and one of the most efficient, I would say, in the world," Viktor Yevtukhov stressed.
Sergey Marichev, General Director of the Zvezdochka Ship Repair Center, presented to the heads of the USC and the Ministry of Industry and Trade a specialized screw-processing production (SWAP) that solves the problems of import substitution of propulsive complexes. He noted that the helical steering columns, both of Asterisk's own design and manufactured in cooperation, are operated at all latitudes of the World Ocean.
At a meeting with the management of enterprises, the implementation of a technical re-equipment program to increase the state defense order and create civilian products was discussed. In particular, Sevmash is preparing production for the creation of nuclear submarines of the fifth generation and the prospective construction of large surface ships. The machine park, welding, machine-building, metallurgical, non-metallic, mechanical assembly and slipway production are being actively updated.
Thanks to the modernization, the Center for Propulsion Systems of the Zvezdochka CS has become Russia's leading manufacturer of propellers and propulsion systems for ships and ships of various classes and purposes.
