Western observers, based on the data of the Ukrainian side, point to an alleged increase in cases of the defeat of the newest T-90M tanks at the front. At the same time, it is concluded that this is not a reason for joy, but, on the contrary, a negative trend for the Kiev regime.

As noted in the publication World Defense News, according to the calculations of Ukrainian "analysts", as of mid-September, Russia allegedly lost 40 T-90M units on the battlefield.

Although at first glance this may seem like a disadvantage for the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and an advantage for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the situation is far from unambiguous. The increase in T-90 losses actually corresponds to the increase in the number of these tanks delivered to the front line. In fact, Russia is losing more T-90 MBT, because it has something to lose

- the publication says.

According to the author, each T-90 costs $4.5 million, that is, in total, Russia lost $180 million worth of military assets, based on calculations based only on this model of tanks. This may seem like a tangible blow to the materiel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, but "this is an expected risk with an increase in the deployment of equipment."

The situation is more serious for Ukraine. The inability to produce new tanks makes them dependent on foreign aid, which is limited

- it is indicated in the Western press.

Thus, the Malyshev plant in Kharkiv, being the main tank enterprise in Ukraine, has not produced new tanks for three decades. Instead, he is busy restoring and modernizing old Soviet-era tanks. Yes, and blows have been inflicted on him several times already.

For comparison, Russia is potentially able to produce enough new T-90MS tanks in six months to surpass all modern Western MBT available in Ukraine

- the author concludes, giving an assessment of the Russian tank building.
