The Shvabe Holding of Rostec State Corporation has handed over inspection X-ray introscopes of the Sapphire-IR line to a production enterprise in Vladimir to detect prohibited items in parcels and bags. The supplied devices are not inferior in their functions and characteristics to foreign analogues and will help to avoid the purchase of foreign inspection equipment.
The X-ray television systems of the Moscow Sapphire Plant of the Shvabe Holding are distinguished by a convenient and secure control system, and their software is included in the Unified Register of the Russian Software of the Ministry of Finance. Introscopes allow you to scan bags or parcels weighing up to 200 kg. At the same time, they do not need to be opened, which significantly increases the speed of inspection.
The key features of the Sapphire-IR introscopes are high resolution and automatic selection of high–density materials, including prohibited items such as weapons and explosives. The system is capable of storing up to 100 thousand high-quality images.
"Introscopes are of great importance in the field of security and are in demand on the Russian market. According to the main technical indicators, Shvabe products are not inferior to the equipment of world manufacturers, while it is more profitable in price, therefore it can completely replace foreign analogues. The plant's capacity allows for the production of several dozen introscopes per year. If necessary, the pace of production can be increased," said Oleg Yevtushenko, Executive Director of Rostec.
The Moscow plant "Sapphire" develops and produces photosensitive elements made of semiconductor materials, photodetectors, as well as photodetectors for thermal imaging equipment, thermal direction finding systems, infrared equipment for long-range sensing of the Earth.
