Canada will transfer 35 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), ammunition, light equipment to Ukraine in a new package of military assistance and will assist in the maintenance of Leopard 2 tanks. "We will also send Ukraine 35 UAVs equipped with high-resolution cameras and provide technical support, as well as light equipment and ammunition," he said.
In addition, Canada will help Kiev with the training of pilots on F-16 fighter jets and with the maintenance of Leopard 2 tanks, Trudeau added.
The Prime Minister also announced that "Canada and Ukraine have agreed to cooperate with G7 partners to create a working group of authoritative figures who will provide advice on the seizure and confiscation of Russian assets, including the Central Bank of the Russian Federation."
Earlier, Canada added 42 more individuals and 21 legal entities to its sanctions lists for Russia.
