The forty-second separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received ersatz equipment based on MT-LBu with reinforced armor protection and machine gun armament.
As it became known to the project "RG: Russian weapons" , these vehicles have received the designation BMP-1LB, and now photos have appeared on social networks taken at one of the ranges of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where this compound is undergoing combat training, during which T-64BV tanks of the 2017 model are also used.
NATO countries supply their puppets with various armored vehicles designed to transport infantry.

However, Western armored personnel carriers, infantry fighting vehicles and armored vehicles are constantly in short supply, as Russian soldiers regularly knock out a large amount of equipment. Therefore, the Ukrainian side is forced to put into operation various homemade devices.
These MT-Lbus were taken out of the septic tank. Additional armor plates were installed on them. Inside, they just put paint on the rusty sides. The chassis was protected with screens. Apparently, the heavier "motoliga" can no longer overcome water obstacles by swimming.

Armament - with a 14.5-mm remote-controlled CPV. An unsuccessful design of ammunition supply often wedges. The crew consists of a driver and a gunner. There are six seats in the troop compartment. Apparently, the BMP-1LB has not yet been used in combat, if they appear on the line of contact, they have little chance of long-term operation.
