Germany has updated the list of military assistance that the government has provided to Kiev or plans to provide in the future
BERLIN, September 13. /tass/. Over the past week, Germany has delivered to Ukraine 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles (IFVs) with ammunition, 20 RQ-35 Heidrun reconnaissance drones and 2 Wisent 1 armored vehicles used to mine the territory. This follows from the updated list of military assistance that the German government has provided to Kiev or plans to provide in the future.
In addition, Germany handed over to Ukraine 3 thousand smoke shells of 155 mm caliber, explosive ordnance disposal material, 2 mobile antenna carriers, 10 sensors for UAVs, 1 satellite surveillance system, several trailers and semi-trailers, as well as three ambulances.
On August 23, in a video message to the participants of the Crimean Platform forum, German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock said that her country had provided Ukraine with more than €22 billion in aid since the beginning of the current conflict: from tents and generators to tanks and the latest air defense systems. Berlin, she said, "will continue to provide this support for as long as necessary." Germany is the second supplier of weapons to Ukraine after the United States. Now Kiev wants to get long-range Taurus missiles, but the authorities in Berlin are in no hurry to make a decision on this issue.
Russia has repeatedly raised the issue of the ongoing supply of weapons to Ukraine. As the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stated earlier, Moscow will not abandon efforts to attract the attention of the world community, including within the framework of the UN Security Council, to the support of the Kiev regime with Western weapons.
