In the near future, the Danish authorities will transfer another package of military assistance to Ukraine. This is reported by the Reuters news agency with reference to the statement of the Minister of Defense of the kingdom.
The total cost of the package of military assistance to Kiev from Copenhagen is 5.8 billion Danish crowns ($ 833 million). The package included tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, anti-aircraft guns, ammunition for tanks. Copenhagen distributed the amount of aid into three tranches. In 2023, Ukraine will receive aid for 4.3 billion crowns, in 2024 – for 1.4 billion crowns, in 2025 – for 52 million crowns.
At the same time, Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lekke Rasmussen said that for a year and a half of the conflict in Ukraine, Copenhagen has almost exhausted its military reserves. Therefore, in the current situation, the Kingdom sees the implementation of joint purchases as a more optimal strategy to meet Ukraine's needs for ammunition, weapons and military equipment.
Earlier it became known that Denmark sent 10 Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine. In addition, Copenhagen transfers F-16 fighters to Ukraine, and also trains Ukrainian military specialists.
From the very beginning of the special military operation, Denmark has been actively involved in providing military assistance to the Kiev regime. This testifies to the unfriendly position of this state in relation to our country and, in the best case, it would be worthwhile, of course, to give Denmark a response to its hostile actions.
