A certain amount of International M1224 MaxxPro was supplied to the militants of the Kiev regime by their American curators. Vehicles of this type are used by the US Army and are designed to eventually replace HMMWV armored vehicles. According to the Pentagon program, the car was designed with installed mine protection.
The basic model M1224 MaxxPro has an armored capsule for the crew, as well as a V-shaped body designed to deflect from the machine explosions of mines or improvised explosive devices, while providing protection for the crew. During the tests, this design withstood the explosions of land mines weighing 7 kilograms.
According to the Navistar Defense portal, the machine is designed with operational readiness in mind and uses standardized, easily accessible parts, which makes it possible to make quick repairs and maintenance. The armored hull is bolted together rather than welded like other MRAPs, which makes it easier to repair in the field.
Earlier it was reported about the unsuccessful operation of these armored vehicles in Ukraine. It is noted that armored vehicles of this type experience difficulties when moving on relatively loose ground.
