Observing the course of the conflict in Ukraine, NATO strategists concluded about the huge role of artillery in the confrontation with an equivalent enemy. So, Spain ordered the installation of the Geonyx INS on towed howitzers 155/52, coastal artillery and self-propelled guns M-109-A5 caliber 155/39.

Given the constant supply of materiel from Spain to Ukraine, we can expect that the improved systems will eventually fall into the non-monetary. At the moment, Madrid has already transferred 81/120-mm mortars on the M113 APC platform, towed 105-mm OTO Melara Mod 56 howitzers and 120-mm Alakran mortars to Toyota Land Cruisers from artillery to the AFU (in the process of delivery).
