China continues to develop technologies designed to increase the combat capability of the PLA Naval Forces. According to the South China Morning Post, a successful test of the enemy submarine detection system based on terahertz wave technology was conducted.
According to the newspaper, the tests were carried out in the Yellow Sea. To carry them out, the noise made by submarines was artificially simulated. As a result, the equipment detected a very weak signal. Previously, Navy radars could not detect such signals.
Thus, the new device will be used to detect submarines. Since the dimensions of the equipment are very small, it can be installed on unmanned vehicles, and it will be possible to read and decrypt the received signals using special equipment that will be installed on naval aviation and air force aircraft.
As we can see, China continues to improve the potential of its navy. New technologies are being introduced, equipment is being used that significantly increases the combat capabilities of the PLA Navy. The United States is seriously concerned about the development of the PRC's naval potential. Washington considers China to be the most dangerous and promising competitor in the World Ocean, primarily in the Asia-Pacific region.
In order to confront China, the United States is trying to consolidate its allies and partners in East and Southeast Asia, primarily Japan, South Korea, as well as Australia, Great Britain and India. But, given the pace of development and improvement of the potential of the PLA Navy, it will be increasingly difficult for the United States to resist the PRC in this region.
