The object that the militants used to launch drones was hit
The forces of the Russian Navy on August 25 struck an object of the Ukrainian port infrastructure, which was used in the interests of the VFU, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported. Effective reconnaissance and identification of places from where sea drones are launched will allow them to be hit with missiles and prevent the use of such drones by the enemy, experts believe. On the same day, Russian troops successfully repelled 13 enemy attacks in all strategic directions, destroyed up to 675 VFU fighters and 38 pieces of equipment. The attempts of the Kiev regime to attack the territory of Russia with the help of UAVs were also unsuccessful: nine of them were destroyed, 34 were suppressed by means of electronic warfare.
Ports under attack
On the night of August 25, the Russian Navy struck a high-precision weapon at a port infrastructure facility that is used in the interests of the armed formations of Ukraine, the military department reported.
— The target of the strike has been achieved. The object is hit, — said the official representative of the Ministry of Defense Igor Konashenkov.

Most likely, Kalibr cruise missiles were used, military historian Dmitry Boltenkov told Izvestia.
— Apparently, after the Ukrainian forces intensified the attacks with their naval drones, ours managed to calculate the object from where they launched the drones and hit it with missiles, — the expert explained. — We have repeatedly demonstrated accurate missile guidance. Let's hope that this time they have caused quite a lot of damage to the military infrastructure. It is necessary to actively conduct reconnaissance, actively calculate the objects from where drones are launched, and send missiles there. The VFU should know that any activity that could harm us will be suppressed.
Aviation and artillery support
During the day, Russian troops continued to repel the attacks of the VFU in Donetsk, Kupyansk, Krasnolimansk, Zaporizhia and Yuzhnodonets directions.
— In the Donetsk direction, the units of the Southern Group of troops, together with the actions of assault and army aviation, successfully repelled three attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Zaliznyanskoye, Kleshcheyevka and Staromikhailovka of the DPR, — said Igor Konashenkov.
In the Kupyansk direction, units of the Western Group of Troops, with the support of aviation and artillery fire, repelled three attacks of the VFU in the areas of the settlements of Sinkovka, Kharkiv region and Sergeyevka in the LPR.
Five enemy attacks were repelled in the Zaporozhye direction. In addition, a field ammunition depot was destroyed in the area of the settlement of Workino.

In the South Donets direction, units of the Vostok group of troops repelled an enemy attack near the settlement of Sweet in the DPR and defeated units of the 38th Naval Infantry Brigade of the VFU in the area of Harvest.
In the Krasnolimansky direction, the group of troops "Center" repelled an attack by servicemen of the 42nd mechanized brigade of the VFU in the area of the settlement of Kuzmino in the LPR.
Units of the 63rd, 67th mechanized brigades of the VFU and the 5th brigade of the National Guard were also defeated in the areas of the settlements of Chervonaya Dibrova in the LPR, Torskoye and Grigorovka in the DPR.
In these areas, the VFU lost over 600 fighters and 32 pieces of equipment, including three tanks, two Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery units, five M777 artillery systems, two Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, two Stryker armored personnel carriers, as well as two FH-70 guns manufactured in Great Britain.
Drone raid
On the night of August 25, the Kiev regime attempted to carry out a terrorist attack using aircraft-type drones on the territory of the Russian Federation. Nine of them were destroyed over Crimea, 33 were suppressed by electronic warfare and crashed without reaching the target, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
Also at night, Russian air defense systems detected and destroyed a Ukrainian missile of the modified S-200 air defense system over the Kaluga region.

On the afternoon of August 25, the Kiev regime attempted a terrorist attack by an airplane-type UAV. The UAV was intercepted over the territory of the Babyninsky district of the Kaluga region by the on-duty air defense means.
The VFU brigade is broken
Russian fighters of the 71st Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment defeated a brigade of the VFU, consisting of 1.2 thousand militants. Murad Magomedov, a military correspondent of Izvestia, found out how it was.
— The main attack was on me, on my battalion, on my lines and the sawmills that I occupied. I was attacked by about 1.2 thousand militants, a whole brigade," said the commander of the unit.
The footage of that battle shows how the enemy's armored vehicles are burning, and the Ukrainians themselves are crawling in a tank track. Most of the VFU's manpower was destroyed, therefore, realizing that they had no chance of surviving, some of the militants surrendered, while others ran back.
Some Russian servicemen were wounded in battle.

— A comrade was wounded very seriously, helped under shelling, provided medical assistance, applied a tourniquet and organized evacuation, — said a serviceman of the 71st Guards Regiment.
For the successfully completed combat mission, the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Viktor Goremykin, presented the soldiers with medals.
Destroyed Su-25
During the day in the special operation zone, Russian troops destroyed up to 675 VFU fighters and 38 pieces of equipment, including tanks, howitzers, self-propelled guns and armored vehicles.
In the Zaporozhye region, the activities of two sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the 31st Marine Brigade of the VFU were suppressed.
The Russian Aerospace Forces shot down a Su-25 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force in an air battle near the village of Semenovka in the DPR. Another Su-25 attack aircraft was shot down by Russian air defense systems near the settlement of Zolotaya Balka, Kherson region.

In addition, five HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, a HARM anti-radar missile, as well as one S-200 anti-aircraft guided missile and 73 Ukrainian UAVs converted into a strike variant were intercepted during the day.
