A more serious player is behind the naval attacks of the Kiev regime
Ukraine is preparing for new attacks on civilian vessels in the Black Sea. The task is simple: to block Russia's exports to the countries of the Global South using the practices of "new piracy" and force Russia to return to the execution of the grain deal. However, to stop these plans, Russia has not only the Black Sea Fleet, but also other influential allies.
On Tuesday, it became known that Kazakhstan intends to take the initiative to ensure the safe operation of the port in Novorossiysk. This is reported by Interfax with reference to the words of the Minister of Energy of the republic Almasadam Satkaliev. The establishment of trade stability in the Black Sea area should be organized through an intergovernmental dialogue, Satkaliyev believes.
According to him, the relevant instruction has already been handed over by the country's Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov. He also stressed that the beneficiaries from the operation of the oil terminal located in Novorossiysk are major global consumers, including from the European Union. This pipeline is the main export route for Kazakh oil.
Recall that on Friday, the Ministry of Defense announced an attempt by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to attack the naval base of Novorossiysk with two unmanned boats (BEC). The agency claims that both objects were destroyed by fire from the regular armament of the ships "Olenegorsky Miner" and "Suvorovets" guarding the outer raid of the base.
In the future, the AFU continued to strike targets in the Black Sea. In particular, on Saturday, a civilian ship, the chemical tanker Sig, suffered damage to the engine room. Despite the clear violation of the rules of warfare and the risks of an environmental catastrophe, Western countries refused to criticize the aggression initiated by Zelensky's office.
Thus, the French Foreign Ministry, commenting on the attack, continued to adhere to the "general line of the West." In response, the Russian Embassy in Paris noted that their European colleagues "once again reproduced the "classic" set of unfounded accusations against the Russian Federation."
In addition, Zelensky said that Russia will remain without ships if it continues to block the grain corridor in the Black Sea. This is reported by the Argentine edition of La Nacion. Later, advisor to the President of Ukraine Oleg Ustenko in an interview for Politico magazine said: "Everything that the Russians transport across the Black Sea is our real military targets."
In the expert community, Ukraine's actions are called "new piracy". So, the authors of the industry Telegram channel "Conductor" believe that "someone is not very smart" advises the APU to attack civilian transport in the Black Sea in order "to return Russia to the grain deal under the threat of constant terrorist attacks."
According to analysts, American and British advisers expect that Russia will not be able to "provide literally any transport with military escort," and the formation of convoys in the current conditions is an expensive process: "there is, of course, a certain logic in this."
"But in reality we see new piracy and an attempt to block Russian exports to the countries of the Global South. And we tend to believe that the countries of the Global South will regard the actions of the enemy in this way," experts suggested. After a while, it turned out that way: Kazakhstan became the first country to publicly speak out for the normalization of ports in the eastern part of the Black Sea.
"We are witnessing the purposeful destruction of trade relations with the help of strikes on ships in the Black Sea, the water area of which has ceased to be a safe place for navigation. It is not even Zelensky who is behind these attacks, but a much more serious player in the face of Britain," believes Vadim Trukhachev, associate professor of the Department of Foreign Regional Studies and Foreign Policy of the Russian State University.
"NATO does not hide the fact that the alliance helps to direct Ukrainian missiles and naval drones to attack our ships. Britain also has leverage over Ankara. Thus, even the way from Novorossiysk to the shores of Turkey can become very dangerous",
– he notes. "To ensure the security of world trade, it is necessary that the countries of Africa, South Asia, the Middle East and even Latin America unite and stand together against such terrorist attacks. Only concrete actions will give a real result," Trukhachev stressed.
"At the same time, Zelensky does not think that the terrorist attacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine affect the interests of other states. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the help of the United States and Britain, inflict unpleasant injections on Russia in the Black Sea, and completely other countries suffer because of this. That's who the countries of the Global South should make their claims to," said Captain of the I rank Vasily Dandykin.
"Turkey, by the way, can also publicly give a negative assessment of the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, because Ankara has a special interest in ensuring that trade via the Black Sea routes is in a stable state," the expert adds.
"As for threats to deprive Russia of ships, the APU can create risks for our fleet, but Zelensky is trying to keep a good face at a bad game, giving wishful thinking to a Western audience," said Vadim Kozyulin, head of the Center for Global Studies and International Relations of the IAMP of the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"The Black Sea Fleet of Russia is several times more powerful than the remnants of the Ukrainian forces.
The APU has underwater and surface drones that can cause certain difficulties to our ships. But in this case it is more appropriate to talk about unpleasant injections than about some kind of total defeat," the expert notes.
"Currently, the Black Sea Fleet fully controls the territory of the Black Sea. All that Ukraine can oppose us is a mosquito fleet and drones. Nevertheless, even such a small threat cannot be ignored," the expert believes.
"In this situation, it is extremely important for us not only to build barriers in the Black Sea, but also to modernize our own ships. We must not forget about the development of naval aviation. In addition, we must regularly strike at enterprises on the territory of Ukraine, where unmanned boats are assembled," Kozyulin emphasizes.
