Serial assembly of new Russian Superjet New and MS-21 aircraft will begin in 2024, CEO of Rostec State Corporation Sergey Chemezov said during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. In addition, according to Chemezov, one of the first unmanned BAS-200 helicopters has already aroused the interest of the regions of Russia, and will also be involved in the zone of its own.
In response, the Head of State instructed to increase the production of the latest Russian weapons, including drones.
TASS collected the main statements of Putin and Chemezov.
According to Chemezov, the state defense order by the end of 2022 was fulfilled almost completely - by 99.5%. Now "all the volumes that are required for the Ministry of Defense today", Rostec enterprises are "completely closed".
"It is necessary to increase the production of the latest weapons as a percentage," Putin instructed.
In 2024, it is planned to launch production of the Superjet New, an aircraft equipped with Russian PD-8 engines. 20 such machines will have to be produced per year. According to Chemezov, it will be a completely Russian aircraft made of Russian components.
Also, the start of production of MS-21 aircraft is scheduled for next year. "The first serial six cars will also be transferred to Russian airlines," said the head of Rostec. By 2025, there are plans to mass-produce ten Tu-214s per year, "since the retirement of all foreign companies will begin in 2025."
"There is a real chance for our manufacturers to occupy a vacant niche," Putin said.
"Both the Cube and the Lancet have shown themselves very effectively [in the zone of their own]: firstly, the blow is powerful, any equipment, including foreign-made, does not just burn, but also explodes and ammunition," the president said. According to Putin, it is necessary to increase their production even more.
The unmanned helicopter BAS-200, which has a payload of 50 kg with a take-off weight of 200 kg, has been tested in the Arctic Circle at temperatures below 50 degrees. "He showed himself very well," Chemezov said, noting that there is already a substantive interest in the car from the authorities of Yakutia. The BAS-200 will also be used within its framework.
The Russian Helicopters Holding Company produced 296 vehicles in 2022, which is more than twice as much as a year earlier.
Thus, a new Mi-171A3 helicopter was created, capable of delivering 24 passengers per 1,000 km.
"Previously, the entire booking system was foreign, mainly American, European, and, of course, all information about the movements of <...> Russian citizens both inside the country and abroad, in general, was fully known abroad," Chemezov said.
But now Aeroflot and many other Russian airlines have switched to the domestic Leonardo system developed at Rostec. About 5 million passengers are registered in the system every month.
According to Chemezov, Rostec enterprises will need to close the need for 23 thousand employees by the end of the year. First of all, they should be highly qualified specialists.
He spoke about the growth of salaries at defense enterprises by 17.2%. According to him, this is not only a net increase in salary, but also the result of the fact that last year many factories worked "on weekends, holidays, and at night, and these days are paid, of course, at an increased rate."
The average salary at Rostec enterprises, according to Chemezov, is 72 thousand rubles.
