Missile attacks do not allow the Kiev regime's Air Force to support ground units
On the night of August 6, the Russian Armed Forces delivered a powerful blow to the aviation bases of Ukraine. Important objects in the Khmelnytsky and Rivne regions were hit. Hangars with aviation equipment were destroyed at the airfield in Zaporozhye. Experts note that such strikes do not allow Ukrainian aviation to support attacks by ground units. Also on this day, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu presented the crew of the Alyosha tank to the title of Heroes of Russia, who defeated the VFU column, and the Russian air defense shot down a UAV near the city of Podolsk near Moscow.
Strike on airfields
On the night of August 6, the Russian Armed Forces launched a group strike with high-precision air and sea-based weapons at the VFU air bases in the Starokonstantinov district of the Khmelnitsky region and Dubno of the Rivne region, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
— The target of the strike has been achieved. All designated facilities have been hit," said the official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.
Also at the Zaporozhye airfield, hangars with VFU aviation equipment were hit.

On August 6, at 11:27, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist UAV attack on objects in the Moscow region was stopped, the Russian military department reported.
The drone was destroyed by air defense means on the territory of the Podolsk district, there were no casualties and no damage.

The acting governor of the Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo, said that the Ukrainian military fired not only at the bridge, but also at the village of Chongar, where the school was damaged. The strike was carried out by Storm Shadow missiles. He added that transport links with Crimea continue to work through Chaplinka and Armyansk.
In addition, bridges across the Thin Strait connecting the city of Genichensk with the Arabatskaya Strelka were shelled, Saldo said. According to him, a total of 12 missiles were fired by the VFU, nine were shot down by Russian air defense. A civilian who was driving across the bridge at the time of the impact was injured, the gas pipeline was damaged.
The feat of "Alyosha"
The head of the Russian military department, Sergei Shoigu, presented the crew of the Alyosha tank to the title of Heroes of Russia, who defeated the VFU column in the Zaporozhye direction, the Ministry of Defense reported on August 5.

Lieutenant Alexander Levakov, having assessed the situation, decided to take the workplace of the tank commander and move in the direction of the positions of our motorized rifle regiment to support the defenders. On the approach, he found eight pieces of VFU equipment, including two tanks.
Senior Lieutenant Baksikov decided to engage in battle with superior enemy forces. The tank's entry into the firing line came as a surprise to the enemy.
Rasim Baksikov, being in the driver's seat, skillfully maneuvered on the battlefield and supervised the work of the crew. Alexander Levakov correctly passed instructions to the gunner and directed the fire of the tank, being in the commander's place.
The crew of the Alyosha tank destroyed one M113 armored personnel carrier and five American-made MaxxPro armored personnel carriers along with the landing force during the battle. After the destruction of the last VFU combat vehicle, the tank crew continued to cover our motorized rifle units. When the ammunition supply ran out, the commander decided to send the tank to replenish the ammunition, and another tank was sent to the place of combat.

After firing three shots at the advancing infantry, the second tank was damaged by artillery fire. Baksikov, together with the crew, quickly decided to evacuate the damaged tank from the line of contact.
The tank was towed under incessant shelling. Thanks to the decisive actions of the servicemen, the crew of the damaged tank was saved. The enemy's losses, in addition to destroyed equipment, amounted to more than 100 militants killed and wounded.
Attacks are repelled
On August 5 and 6, Russian troops advanced in the Kupyansk direction, and successfully repelled enemy attacks on the rest.
— In the Kupyansk direction, the assault detachments of the Western Group of Troops continued to improve the tactical situation in their areas of responsibility, — said Igor Konashenkov.
A day earlier, Russian troops liberated the settlement of Novoselovskoye in this direction. In addition, the assault detachments improved the situation along the front edge in the areas of the settlements of Olshana and Pershotravnevoye of the Kharkiv region.

In two days, 11 attacks and counterattacks of the VFU were successfully repelled, as well as clusters of enemy manpower and equipment were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Kupyansk, Petropavlovsk, Tabayevka, Novomlynsk, Sinkovka, Timkovka in the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhovka and Artemovka in the LPR.
In the Donetsk direction, units of the Southern Group of troops, in close cooperation with aviation and artillery, repulsed 15 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kleshcheyevka, Pervomaiske, Nevelskoye, Belogorovka, Avdiivka and Maryinka in the DPR.
In the Krasnolimansky direction, the group of troops "Center" successfully repelled five attacks by assault groups in the south-west of the village of Kovalevka in the LPR and in the area of the Serebryansky forestry.

In the South Donets direction, the Vostok group of troops repelled an attack by an enemy assault group in the area of the village of Urozhnoye in the DPR for two days and defeated the VFU manpower and equipment in the areas of the settlements of Ugledar, Prechistovka, Staromayorskoye and Rovnopol.
In the Zaporozhye direction, two enemy attacks were repelled in the area of Workino in the Zaporozhye region.
The "Leopards" are going forward
Alexey Poltoranin, a military correspondent of Izvestia, visited the positions of the mortar men of the volunteer detachment "Bars-12" in the Belogorovka area of the LPR.
The fighters of this detachment are now destroying the strongholds of the armed formations of Ukraine. They are armed with a 120-millimeter mortar. They work on enemy dugouts, manpower and lightly armored vehicles.
According to the Russian military, the VFU groups are being systematically destroyed.

Over the past two days in the special operation zone, Russian troops have destroyed at least 1,490 VFU fighters and 104 pieces of equipment, including tanks, howitzers, self-propelled guns and armored vehicles.
